How to Find Armored Walls in Fortnite Season 8

Keep an eye out for chests, supply drops, and rare pickups

Fortnite is the game that just keeps on giving and with Season 8, Chapter 2 in full swing, we have yet another addition via the recent update to make the gameplay that much crazier. Introducing Armored Walls and what these do is allow you to fortify your base even more than usual, adding armor to the walls that are able to take quite the punishment before cracking. First things first though, we actually have to find them before we can use them. Here's how we find the Armored Walls in Fortnite.

Where to Find Armored Walls in Fortnite

This item differs a bit from most in Fortnite as it doesn't actually take up any of the space within the inventory and instead is treated like a piece of building material such as the jump pad. This allows us to collect it at pretty much anytime as we won't be swapping out anything valuable to get it. Once equipped, we can use it to create the most protective structures in the game and even a point-blank shot from an RPG won't be enough to bring it down. Be careful though as this won't make anyone invincible and it will eventually fall.

How we find it is by searching through the normal chests and supply drops throughout the map. They can also appear as random floor pickup as well, though that is far less common. The time they appear the most is as the player count dwindles and when this happens, we might find ourselves as part of a mad dash to get it as they can be a difference between winning or losing a game depending on how it is used.

When they do drop, the Armored Walls will be shown on the map via a blue crate icon. Be aware that this means every player on the map can see this as well, so expect some serious resistance when going for these at the end of games as they are a hot commodity right now and it may be best to wait in the wings and hunt down the player who grabbed it after all of the dust has settled.

Fortnite Season 8, Chapter 2 is still in full swing and there should be some exciting additions coming up, so stay tuned.

Fortnite is available on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, Nintendo Switch, IOS, and Android.
