by Natalie Collazo on June 12, 2022

Everything Announced at the Xbox + Bethesda Games Showcase 2022 - ComingSoon.net

This year's Summer Game Fest, hosted by industry veteran Geoff Keighley, has shown off some of the most incredible announcements of the year. Today, Microsoft showed off what they have coming up alongside one of their most recent acquisitions, Bethesda. Some of the announcements weren't necessarily new, but they brought fans a whole new sense of excitement with new screenshots and trailers. Did you miss the show? Don't worry! DailyGamer has you covered with all of the biggest news that was announced below:

Redfall

Redfall is a Bethesda title that recently saw a delay alongside another new Bethesda IP, Starfield. Today, developer Arkane Austin showed off an extended look at the vampire shooter. It showed off four playable characters as well as the same release window of sometime in 2023.

Hollow Knight Silksong

It's felt like forever since we've heard anything about the sequel to the critically acclaimed Hollow Knight. While no release date was still announced for the game, it's assumed to be during some time in 2023. It was also announced that the game will be available on day one on Xbox Game Pass.

High On Life

Justin Roiland and his team at Squanch Games are launching another title this year. This is by the same creator of Rick and Morty so expect so raunchy dialogue and intense visuals. There was no official release date given though the launch window is for some time this year.

Riot Games Coming  to Xbox Game Pass

If you thought that Microsoft's Xbox Game Pass already has a lot of choices to play, think again. Riot, the developers of the popular game League of Legends, will be releasing their entire library on the platform. These games include League of Legends for PC, League of Legends Wild Rift for mobile, Legends of Runeterra, Teamfight Tactics, and their newest team-based shooter, Valorant. There was no official date for this but it can only be assumed that it will be available soon.

A Plague Tale: Requiem

The sequel to the ever-popular A Plague Tale is finally coming out at some point this year. The official date was offered though it is expected to be available to download on day one for Xbox Game Pass.

Forza Motorsport

In an attempt to reinvent the Forza franchise with a nod at the original title, Forza Motorsport was officially announced for 2023. There are way more details involved in this development than ever before with intense visuals like paint flaking off of the cars.

Microsoft Flight Simulator / Halo DLC

The 40th anniversary of Microsoft's Flight Simulator is being celebrated this year. The title will grant players new airplanes and other great things this November. As part of the celebration, the Pelican from Microsoft's Halo will be available to fly starting today.

Overwatch 2

Overwatch 2 had already been announced before and players have been able to opt-in to beta access. The game's official release date was announced as October but no specific date. Starting October 4, however, players can opt-in to the early access with a new player, Junker Queen. When launched, the game will be free-to-play.

Ara: History Untold

Developer Oxide Games announced their latest real-time strategy game, Ara: History Untold. The trailer shows players being able to play through different eras of time, though no official gameplay was revealed. The release date or window was also not announced though you can sign up for more information on the Xbox Insider Program

The Elder Scrolls Online: High Isles

The latest expansion for The Elder Scrolls Online will be taking players through the world of the Bretons. Players will be able to dive into the expansion later this month on June 21.

Ark 2

The ever-popular survival game, Ark is officially getting a sequel. The weird thing is that it will be starring Vin Diesel. Besides that, we're all incredibly excited about this revelation and can't wait to play it sometime in 2023.

Scorn

Scorn is a new game being released this year on October 22. (That's a lot of October releases!) The game is set to be a horrifying first-person adventure. Be warned, the trailer is pretty gruesome and features a lot of veiny and rather unsettling visuals of naked bodies.

Flintlock: Siege of Dawn

Flintlock looks to be a third-person adventure game much in the vein of Sony's God of War. The game's premise is also relatively similar in that you are killing off different gods. The open-world adventure will take you through different lands and fight a wide variety of enemies sometime in 2023.

Minecraft Legends

A new spin-off for the popular crafting game, Minecraft has been officially announced. Different from the original Minecraft, this game looks to have you still exploring and crafting but in a different capacity. It looks like you're able to join friends on a variety of different quests that will be revealed at a later date. It was announced to be released sometime in 2023.

Lightyear Frontier

The farming simulator genre is as popular as ever. This time, Lightyear Frontier takes it a step further by adding mechs to the mix. No official release date was given but a window of spring 2023 was announced.

Gunfire Reborn

This roguelike co-op game takes cute, anthropomorphic animals and pits them against each other. It will available to play day one on Xbox Game Pass for both console and PC. Its cel-shaded art style will want you to come back for more.

The Last Case of Benedict Fox

This side-scrolling mystery adventure follows the story of a detective and a demon. There wasn't an official release date given though it will be available sometime in 2023.

As Dusk Falls

This title can be played solo or with up to eight players. The story looks to be well told with hand-painted scenes and completely voiced dialogue. You can expect to play it on July 19 where you can uncover everyone's secrets.

Naraka: Bladepoint

Naraka: Bladepoint was originally released last year for PC. Now, it's going to be available for Xbox players this month on June 23. It has millions of players worldwide and lets players fight up to 60 players in a fierce battle royale. Nothing was made available about exclusives or special items for new players though that might get announced at a later point.

Pentiment

This game comes from our friends at Obsidian Entertainment. It's a narrative journey that takes place in 16th-century Bavaria through the eyes of Journeyman Artist Andreas Maler.

Ereban: Shadow Legacy

From publisher Raw Fury and developer Baby Root Games comes Ereban: Shadow Legacy. It's a fast-paced stealth platformer that lets you use magic abilities and interesting gadgets. There was no official release date or window given though a website, Ereban.com, was announced as well for more information.

Diablo IV

There still is no release date for Blizzard's Diablo IV, though it is expected sometime in 2023. Today, a new character class known as the ever-popular necromancer was announced. It was also announced that the game will have cross-play and cross-progression when it comes out.

Sea of Thieves

A new season is going to be made available, Season 7, on June 21. Now, players will be able to become captains which will allow for naming and customizing ships. A new trailer was also provided for the announcement.

Ravenlok

Ravenlok is a narrative adventure with cute music and even cuter designs. In an action-packed fairytale, you're be playing a young girl who is destined to fulfill a dangerous prophecy. No release date was provided though a release window of 2023 was.

Cocoon

Developed by the gameplay designer of both Limbo and Inside comes Coccoon. It's set to be a puzzle adventure game not unlike the latter with beautiful visuals and an even more beautiful score. It will be made available sometime in 2023.

Wo Long: Final Dynasty

The Team Ninja team is working on a new project. It takes place in the Later Han Dynasty when demons are taking over the Three Kingdoms. There was no gameplay provided in the purely cinematic trailer though we can expect to have it in hand in early 2023.

Persona Series

In a twist of fate, Persona 3 Portable, Persona 4 Golden, and Persona 5 Royal will all be making their way to console and PC on October 21. They all won't be released in tandem with only Persona 5 being released on that day, but they will surely all be available as part of the Xbox Game Pass subscription.

Hideo Kojima Partnership

Hideo Kojima is on a roll. He announced that his development company, Kojima Productions, is working on a new IP with Microsoft. They didn't mention what this game is (though we suspect that it is the leaked OVERDOSE from earlier this week). No more detail was provided in this announcement though it is possible that the game will need to have a show of its very own to show off at.

Starfield Official Gameplay

Finally, the gameplay has been revealed for Bethesda's newest IP, Starfield. It is a space exploration game in the same vein as the Fallout series with character customization abilities and large-scale exploration. They revealed a 15-minute trailer that showed off much of what you can expect from the game when it comes out. The gameplay seems to be very similar to previous games like The Elder Scrolls franchise though it looks like you'll also be able to pilot your own spaceship as well and engage in space battles. The world within the game looks absolutely massive and the trailer is absolutely mind-blowing. It was announced to be coming out sometime next year after it was announced to be delayed from a 2022 release.

There were also a few announcements that made their way to the show including the fact that Grounded will be leaving Xbox Game Pass in September. A trailer for Fallout 76's new venture, the Pitt, was shown off a bit in a trailer and the Hot Wheels DLC set for Forza Horizon 5 was announced for July 19.
