Persona 5 Royal is coming to Nintendo Switch in October 2022 | Shacknews

This year has been filled with so many surprises for the video game industry. Today's mini Nintendo Direct was no different with some announcements being a complete surprise to everyone. Did you happen to miss the show? Don't worry! DailyGamer has everything you need to know listed down below! So, check out everything that was shown at today's 25-minute long Nintendo Direct Mini:

Persona 5 Royal

It's official Persona 5 Royal is going to be headed to the portable Switch console with Switch ports of both Persona 3 Portable and Persona 4 Golden also being released sometime this year. Each of these games will be available separately as opposed to being a part of a collection.

Harvestella

Joining the scene of farming simulator games is Harvestella. It looks to be similar to the Rune Factory series though different in its own right. It is set to be available this year on November 4.

Portal Companion Collection

Whether or not you're a fan of Valve games, there's a good chance that you've heard about or played Portal. This collection will be featuring both the first and second games which bring players back to the test chambers of the Aperture Science Laboratories. It is available to play starting today.

Dragon Quest Treasures

A spin-off from the famed Dragon Quest series, Dragon Quest Treasures will be featuring new protagonists that are treasure hunters by profession who are searching for loot! The game will be available at the end of this year on December 9.

Minecraft Legends

Minecraft Legends was introduced earlier this year as part of the Summer Game Fest show and now, it's been announced for the Nintendo Switch. There is no official release date for the game though it is expected to be playable sometime in 2023.

Doraemon Story of Seasons: Friends of the Great Kingdom

Doraemon is one of the most recognizable IPs around; sort of like Hello Kitty. Considering that, he had his own Story of Seasons game that was released a few years ago. Now, a sequel has been announced with a release date for sometime later this year!

Live A Live

The beloved 8-bit classic was announced for Western audiences for the first time earlier this year. Its popularity influenced many great titles as we know them today including Undertale and has become a fan-favorite for many niche gamers. The game will be seeing an American release on July 22 but as of today, you can play through the first three chapters!

Disney Dreamlight Valley

Disney Dreamlight Valley lets you live the fantasy of being able to hang out with all of your favorite fictional friends. You're able to explore the world and interact with your favorite characters starting on September 6.

Sonic Frontiers

This new open-world Sonic game has already taken the fanbase for Sonic by storm. It's going to be available this holiday season and features a completely explorable world filled with dynamic textures and areas for Sonic to find collectibles and rewards.

RPG Time: The Legend of Wright

This game is interesting in the sense that you play as a hand-drawn character straight from the pages of a children's storybook. You must solve puzzles and fight against enemies in order to progress and defeat the looming evil. It will be available later this year on August 18.

Railgrade

Have you ever wanted to build a locomotive empire? Well, now you can! Well, you can travel across different landscapes while also shipping materials for an industrial colony. It will be available later this fall and will let players explore a completely new type of game.

Little Noah: Scion of Paradise

The makers of Dragalia Lost have now announced their latest endeavor, Little Noah: Scion of Paradise. The game is a roguelike that can be downloaded and played starting today!

Mario + Rabbids Sparks of Hope

When the Switch was first released, Nintendo and Ubisoft banded together to create Mario + Rabbids. And, it instantly became a hit. Now, the sequel, Sparks of Hope, is expected to release on October 20 of this year with an all-new trailer to accompany it.

Return to Monkey Island

Announced back in April, Return to Monkey Island brings back the famous adventure with a  completely modern twist. It was announced this past April and is looking to be released sometime at the end of this year.

Were you a fan of Pac-Man World back in the day? This complete remake gives our favorite characters and atmospheres a completely new look that we can all experience on August 26.

Mega Man Battle Network Legacy Collection

One of my personal favorites from the show, this collection will feature all six of the Battle Network games that were originally released for the Game Boy Advance and the Nintendo DS. The collection will even include the paired games that were released after the second installment. There is no official release date though the compilation will be released sometime next year.

Super Bomberman R 2

Super Bomberman R was one of the very first games to ever release on the Nintendo Switch. Because of that, plenty of players have had the game in their collection at some point in their lives and now, the sequel will be released sometime in 2023.

Lorelei and the Laser Eyes

The developer behind Sayonara Wild Hearts announced their newest game at the show today with a release date of sometime in 2023.

Nier: Automata The End of YoRHa Edition

There was no official trailer showing off anything regarding the gameplay or graphics, but it's safe to say that Yoko Taro's intense JRPG will be headed to the Nintendo Switch! This version will include all of the DLC as well as special costumes that are exclusive to this edition!

Monster Hunter Rise Sunbreak

What I believe to be one of the biggest videos of the show was Monster Hunter Rise Sunbreak. It's an expansion to the ciritically-acclaimed Monster Hunter RIse and will be including up to three new powerful monsters in a new location called Elgado Outpost.
