Cyberpunk 2077 Expansion Coming Next Year

And 18 million copies have officially been sold.
by Natalie Collazo on April 15, 2022

CD Projekt Red announced that the vast majority of Cyberpunk 2077's fix development is complete, which means that it's time to move on to the next thing: expansions. The game had its share of difficulties upon release that has resulted in many patch updates and fixes that pertain to the existing issues rather than new content. As a result, we haven't seen an official expansion at all, even though it was reported by the game's official Twitter that the content was meant to be discussed prior to the game's release.

The timeline features most of the end-of-year content that CD Project Red will be focusing on will be revolving around the Witcher franchise, adding more to the GWENT card game. The new expansion has yet to be officially announced in name but will be featuring an all-new storyline in tandem with the base game.

It was also announced that the game had officially sold over 18 million copies since its release. This might seem like a large number, but as reported by Jason Schrier, this isn't nearly as big of a feat if you consider that about 14 million of those copies were sold at launch.

Check back with DailyGamer for more news on the Cyberpunk 2077 expansion as more information gets released.
