Gotham Knights Could Feature 4 Player Co-Op

The PSN listing suggests 4 player capability
by Joe Wilcock on May 09, 2022

A recent update on the Gotham Knights PSN listing suggests that we could be getting more than the 2 player co-op functionality that was originally promised.

With Batman missing, Nightwing, Batgirl, Robin and Redhood must protect Gotham in his stead. All signs pointed towards a 2 player co-op adventure to fulfil this task but the Gotham Knights’ PSN listing suggests otherwise. According to PlayStation, the newest Rocksteady title will offer 4 player co-op, giving players the chance to take the mantle of all 4 heroic substitutes at once.

Gotham Knights will “support up to 4 players with PS plus” but what this means exactly is still unknown. Reading between the lines, this could be a separate mode outside of the main campaign as the description for the game still cites that it can be played “in solo-play or with one other hero”.  However, if that is not the case then Rocksteady could be gearing up to announce the new multiplayer capabilities. Needless to say, this would be a major selling point for the game, much like the option for the initial co-op was. Players will flock to team up and protect Gotham as a bonafide team.

Rocksteady’s new Batman game (minus the Batman) was first announced in August 2020 with plans to release in 2021. However, it was revealed in March 2021 that the game would be pegged back until 2022, with the release date being shared recently as October 25th 2022.
