Cyberpunk 2077 Leak Details Upcoming Story DLC

With new characters and locations to explore.

Cyberpunk 2077 — from the creators of The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt

For as long as anyone can remember, CD Projekt Red has been teasing the eventual announcement of a big story-driven DLC for Cyberpunk 2077. Despite a few delayed announcements, not much more has been revealed so that players will know what to expect. Over a year later, it's taken a dataminer to reveal hundreds of lines of dialogue that tells the story of what sort of experience we can expect in Night City. The information was leaked via a Reddit post that has since been deleted though fans were able to get the necessary information and spread it across the Cyberpunk community.

It looks like the DLC will take place in the Pacificia region and include a new major character by the name of Songbird. According to the leak, there is to be a total of seven new quests that grant you access to previously inaccessible areas such as the Sports Dome. The area of Pacificia is a stark difference from Night City in that its colorful people and atmosphere grip onto an unspoken narrative that is just dying to be told. The entire leak was struck with a DMCA takedown but it's possible that we will hear more information soon considering the size of the leak.

Cyberpunk 2077 was released in 2020 to a wave of criticism due to a range of unfulfilled problems and issues that caused a complete reimagining via updates. As time passed, the game slowly became the version that fans had originally anticipated though in no small part to the criticism and feedback left behind from the launch. Hopefully, the addition of a large DLC will propel the game back into the limelight though it might be difficult for fans to trust it considering the disaster launch f the base game. As of right now, only time will tell.

CD Projekt Red also recently announced the next installment in the Witcher franchise and discussed their plans to continue to series with a new story. Check back with DailyGamer for more news about CD Projekt Red and Cyberpunk 2077.
