It's already been a while since Platinum Games announced the third installment of the Bayonetta series and it looks like now we have an official release date. Mark your calendars because on October 28, you can get your hands on the Switch game alongside a collector's edition that was also announced. This edition comes, titled "Trinity Masquerade Collector's Edition," comes with an art book as well as three different game covers packaged into a nice box. In a Tweet by the developer, it was also announced that the game will feature a mode that will allow players to choose just how many clothes Bayonetta will be wearing on screen.

The games are well-loved by fans of all ages but it's no secret that Bayonetta is a series for older audiences. That being said, the developer also understands that fans of the games might have family members living in their house that are not of the right age demographic to be seeing Bayonetta's outfits. This mode is titled "Naive Angel Mode" and is as close to a "family-friendly" filter as you can get.

Bayonetta launched back in 2010 for PS3 and Xbox 360 which launched its popularity indefinitely. The IP became an official Nintendo title with the launch of Bayonetta 2 in 2014. Now, the third installment is also set to be a Nintendo exclusive that will bring a lot of fans to the console again or for the first time. In fact, alongside the release of the third game, Nintendo will be doing a limited-run standalone physical copy of the first game which was previously only released in Europe as part of a collection with the second game.
