The Pokémon Company held a live stream earlier today that outlined the future of all the games under their umbrella this year. There were a lot of great surprises and announcements and, to no surprise, tons of information about the upcoming Pokémon Violet and Pokémon Scarlet. If you happened to miss the show this morning, we've outlined all of the highlights to ensure that you don't miss a single thing.

Pokémon Scarlet and Violet

A new trailer for the game was unveiled that announced the game's story. Players will be taking on the roles of students at an academy that depends on the game chosen. There, they will be given a task to complete called The Treasure Hunt which will challenge trainers to find treasures of their own all across the region of Paldea. We also got a closer look at the legendaries that appear on the covers, Koraidon and Miraidon, and were able to see their motorcycle-like abilities to help you travel. It looks like they will be with you throughout your journey in Paldea as partner Pokémon. With respect to the aforementioned Treasure Hunt, players will be challenged through three different stories that will provide them with different gameplay experiences. Only one of these stories was spoken about that will mimic the basic Victory Road challenge that asks players to collect eight badges and defeat the Elite Four.

A new gameplay feature was also revealed that shows Pokémon being Terastallised which covers them in a crystalline effect and boosts moves the same as their Tera type. mUch like other gameplay features in previous games, it's likely that this is just another way to customize your builds and teams.

Pokémon Go

This season's finale event will be held later this month on the 27th which will include a Daily Adventure Incense which lasts fifteen minutes and attracts Pokémon, even legendaries, to your area. The event will allow trainers to also have the opportunity to capture all of the Ultra Beasts released over the three in-person Go Fest gatherings this summer: Phermosa, Buzzwole, and Xurkitree.

Pokémon Masters EX

The game is quickly approaching its third anniversary where players will have access to a new area of the game called the Trainer's Lounge.

Pokémon Cafe Remix

MewTwo will be added to the game and Latias is set to return!

Pokémon Unite

Buzzwole and Pikachu events will be introduced to the game to keep the party going.
