Can You Play Pokémon Scarlet and Violet Early?

Get ready for the region of Paldea!

Pokémon Scarlet And Violet: Here Are The Cheapest Copies In Australia

No, you can't exactly play the newest installment in the Pokémon series before its release date on November 18. But, you can trick your Switch into playing it early by switching out your current region to Australia via your eshop profile. Once you do that, you can purchase the game from the eshop, (so long as your form of payment is valid in Australia), and start preloading. Check your Switch's home screen to ensure whether or not the preload started automatically because you might need to start it manually. At that point, when it becomes available in Australia on its release date at 12 a.m., you can get in on the action.

How exactly is this any earlier than anyone else? Well, Australia is sixteen hours ahead of the east coast of the United States. This means that their 12 a.m. is significantly different than ours. Considering this, we recommend that you only do this at your own risk and also recommend that you make a new account with the Australian region in case anything happens. If everything works out well, then you should be on your way to picking your new partner Pokémon soon enough.

The Pokémon Company recently announced that there will be compatibility with the well-received Pokémon HOME app and the newest Pokémon Scarlet and Violet in 2023.
