The Pokémon Company has announced that a new patch, Version 1.2.0, is set to be released in late February for their latest games, Pokémon Scarlet and Violet. The patch will include bug fixes and added functionality, but no further details have been released.

This announcement comes as the company celebrated the milestone of having 1008 pocket monsters available to catch across all of the various games, with a video highlighting every Pokémon that has ever appeared in the games.

Since its launch in November, Scarlet and Violet have faced numerous issues, with players reporting various bugs and performance issues. Nintendo had previously promised to take player feedback "seriously" and work on improving the games, but the release of Version 1.1 did not seem to significantly improve the performance of the games.

In our very own review of the games, we stated that "the quality-of-life additions that were added to this title and the expectation of a patch to fix all of the above almost overshadow the game's issues. There is so much love poured into this game and it's very apparent in just about every facet, making the future of Pokémon look brighter than it ever did before." Fans of the series are eagerly awaiting the release of Version 1.2.0 and the improvements it will bring.
