B8 Confirm Its 2022 DPC Dota 2 Roster

Another roster rebuild for B8
by Tit Krajnik on November 23, 2021

B8 announced its new Dota 2 roster for the 2022 Dota Pro Circuit (DPC) season, featuring new names who will join Danil "Dendi" Ishutin on the active lineup. B8 announced the news on Sunday, November 21, just a few days before the next season kicks off.

A New-Look B8

As revealed by the CIS esports organization, B8's 2022 Dota 2 roster will feature Alexander "V1olent" Park, Maxim "pJonn" Netrebsky, Adam "Lagoona" Chakhaev, Azamat "Gatciy" Gattsiev, and the team owner, Dendi. While the 2022 season has yet to start, the team have already been playing together, most notably in the Dota 2 Champions League Season 5.

Despite already playing together, trying to form strong synergy ahead of the next season, B8's new roster has yet to find any serious traction. They have been recently eliminated from the Dota 2 Champions League, with a 0-9 record, failing to win a single game throughout the entire tournament.

Regardless, with a new season on the horizon, B8 are hoping the new year will also bring a fresh start for the team.

B8's new-look roster features a couple of unknown names, but also Dendi as the most experienced player on the team. Joining him is Gatciy, who has made a name for himself as a support player for Cyberium.

A Shaky Offseason

B8 have had quite a shaky offseason, as the team had to overcome many difficulties before they formed a new roster. Most notably, B8 had to kick Dendi from the team in October due to complications with the team's slot in the DPC.

At the time, B8's member Aleksandr "Nofear" Churochkin removed Dendi from the roster because he officially owned the slot registered to compete in the upcoming DPC season – since he was the captain of XactJlepbl that merged with B8.

After failing to negotiate with Nofear, B8 found a new path of rebuilding its roster around Dendi, a process that ended earlier this month. Although the team needed Valve to intervene and secure B8 a spot in the DPC, the CIS Dota 2 squad found a solution and are now set to compete next season.

The first addition came at the start of the month when B8 signed Gatciy. Three more signings followed on Sunday, November 21, when B8 officially signed V1olent, pJon, and LagooNa as the team's no.1, no.3 and no.4, respectively.

With that, B8 are set to enter the 2022 DPC season, starting with the DPC EUU 2021/22 Tour 1: Division II tournament, slated for November 29 – January 23. The second-division CIS Dota 2 tournament will feature eight teams from the region, who will compete for one of two tickets leading into the first division.
