Assassin's Creed Valhalla getting more DLC

Get ready to head to take the guise of Odin once more
by Adam Braunstein on December 13, 2021

Assassin's Creed: Valhalla

Assassin's Creed: Valhalla may not be the most beloved game in the series, but it certainly Is trying its best to make up for that in content. While the base game already boasts over 80 hours of content, there have also been addition DLCs to add to that as well and now, we're getting yet another that will shift the setting of the game once more. This time, you are going to venture to the realm of Svartlheim as Eivor taking the guise of Odin once more, so if you've already done the trippy side quest in Asgard, you know what to expect from this go around.

What will separate this DLC from the others is the introduction of completely new gameplay mechanics such as the ability to absorb your enemy's powers and use them for yourself. Ubisoft claims that you will feel like a god when playing as Odin/Eivor this time around, so that likely means that more supernatural elements are going to be added into the fun here. The play revolves around you as Odin, trying to rescue your son Baldr. This will have you interacting with everything from Dwarves to Frost Giants and all kinds of other good mythology mischief. How the story will play into the larger Assasin's Creed lore we don't know yet, but it's great to see that Ubisoft is continuing to expand on what was the most exciting part of the game in the Asgard storyline.

It seems Ubisoft is trying to stretch out Assassin's Creed: Valhalla as long as it possibly can as they have their next project, Assassin's Creed: Infinity getting ready to release in the fall of 2022, and while we don't have a ton of information on it just yet, it's looking like Valhalla may be the last single-player focused Assassin's Creed game we get for a long while.
