Assassin's Creed Getting Free Crossover Event

Kassandra and Eivor team up for a mission.
by Adam Braunstein on December 15, 2021

Assassin's Creed: Valhalla is getting a wild crossover event that will be free to all players of both Assassin's Creed: Odyssey as well as Assassin's Creed: Valhalla. Why is it coming to both games you ask? Well, that is because it is starring none other than the canon protagonist of Odyssey, Kassandra as well as Eivor from Valhalla. The event is going to be a playable quest where the two encounter each other and possibly include both settings from each game.

For those wondering how this could even be possible, if you finished all there is to play in Assassin's Creed: Odyssey, you know that it is discovered that Kassandra has lived for centuries through Alethia's Staff, so it's not too outrageous to think that she may have stopped by during the Viking invasion of England. This crossover event of course opens upon an insane amount of possibilities for the future of the series. Is it possible we will see Kassandra fighting in the current day in the near future? Could other protagonists from past games be brought into the present as well?

The next AC game is called infinity, so perhaps this is all building for a huge crossover event that will connect the characters from every game, meaning we might end up seeing Ezio and Arno interacting with Eivor and Bayek which could make for some wild situations. The possibilities are a very exciting thing that could reinvigorate the excitement in a franchise that has been coasting by for a bit too long.
