Rainbow Six Extraction Launching On Game Pass Day 1

Another third-party game accessible to Xbox gamers at no cost
by Oliver VanDervoort on January 05, 2022

Xbox has yet another third party game coming to the Xbox Game Pass service on the same day it launches for all its platforms.

Rainbow Six Extraction, which is due to launch later this month, will be available on Xbox Game Pass for no additional charge for subscribers.

Microsoft announced the deal on Wednesday morning with a post on its own official blog,

"The operators of Rainbow Six are about to face their greatest challenge when Rainbow Six Extraction launches on Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and PC, but they won’t do it alone," the post read. ar from it. "Rainbow Six Extraction will be available on day one with Xbox Game Pass, so operators will be joined by Xbox Game Pass members on console, PC, and cloud from around the world to help them battle the ever-evolving alien menace which threatens the globe."

That means that when it releases on January 20, Xbox Game Pass members will be able to jump into the PvE co-op experience alone or in squads of up to three players to take on what the company calls "dynamic incursions."

Rainbow Six Extraction is a tactical co-op FPS that offers a squad-based PvE experience that will see players take on the role of operators who are fighting against a horde of alien invaders.

There's an added bonus that since this game is going to be offered through the cloud, players won't need to make room on their hard drives, thanks to the fact that xCloud is now playable on consoles. That makes Rainbow Six Extraction one of the first new AAA titles to technically qualify for the "play xCloud anywhere" promise of the subscription service.
