Dying Light 2 Devs Scrambling to Fix Co-op And Server Issues

Dying Light 2's rocky launch continues
by Adam Braunstein on February 05, 2022

Earlier in the week, it was announced that Dylng Light 2 would come with a massive day one patch that would fix over 1000 issues that the game was having in its prelaunch state. Well, we're at launch day and we've downloaded the patch, and guess what? It's still action-packed with issues. The patch supposedly has fixed tons of bugs in the game, but the co-op mode that has received a ton of hype has essentially come in broken form. Players are experiencing crashes, disconnects, and tons of other issues involving lag that make it pretty much an unplayable product right now.

Developer Techland has put out a statement saying these issues are "The top of our list." and with a statement like that, it's pretty clear that this list of theirs is looking pretty long right about now. Not only is the co-op a disaster right now, but there have also been issues with redeeming awards from preorders, activating codes to download the game and so much more. There is currently a megathread on Reddit about all of the issues players are having and unfortunately, this is rivaling the horrendous launch Cyperpunk 2077 experience last year and we're only in its first day. Stay tuned as more is surely to come from this rocky start.
