The legendary rapper will be a playable character as of next month.

Sledgehammer Games announced that Snoop Dogg will be available for purchase as a playable character, voice and all, in next month's Snoop Dogg operation bundle. This is part of COD’s Season 2 Reloaded, due to launch this week.

After lending his iconic voice to the mammoth gaming franchise back in Call of Duty: Ghosts, he returns as a fully-featured operative in the upcoming update. Call of Duty mobile players will be able to pack him as soon as April 1st via the lucky draw, but as for Vanguard and Warzone players, they will have to wait until April 19th to don the Snoop Dogg mantle.

Here’s what the titular rapper had to say on the matter:

"The D O Double G is back in Call of Duty and this time I’m in the freakin’ game! Excited to be working with the COD team to bring some fly features for you all to enjoy. It’s dope….. y’all can play as me and get these sick items that have Snoop written all over them. Check it out.”

- Snoop Dogg

Snoop is building up quite the resume in the gaming world. Not only is this his second COD appearance, but he’s also starred in Def Jam: Fight For NY, as the main antagonist “Crow” as well as being a playable character in True Crime: Streets of LA. Add to this his established streaming channel and his recent addition to the FaZe Clan roster, Snoop is cultivating an interesting gaming reputation.
