Dignitas Signs A Fortnite Team

Dignitas enter Fortnite competitive scene
by Tit Krajnik on May 03, 2022

Dignitas enters competitive Fortnite with a new three-man roster. As revealed on Monday, May 2, Dignitas signed Matthew “Mero” Faitel, Piero “Pgod” Ramirez, and Lucas “Dukez” Cardenas as the three members of its inaugural Fortnite esports team.

A New Team Is Formed

The North American esports organization revealed its first Fortnite roster with the signing of Mero, Pgod, and Dukez. The three represent NA’s region cream of the crop, having achieved impressive results in their Fortnite careers.

Notably, Mero and Pgod are some of the best players in the region. Mero has five FNCS Championships and is known as one of the most dominant players in Fortnite history.

Pgod, on the other hand, is a veteran Fortnite player who has been competing in the scene since 2018. He is a five-time FNCS finalist, having placed 17th, ninth, 25th, and 31st. Both players are also popular Twitch streamers, while Pgod is the Twitch Rivals Streamer Bowl III champion.

Rounding up Dignitas’ new Fortnite roster is Dukez, mostly known as a rising talent thanks to his incredible mechanical ability. He made a splash in the competitive scene in 2021 when he completed alongside another rising talent Rise, and the legendary Chap.

Like his new teammates, Dukez has also achieved plenty of success in the FNCS, which he won twice. Both victories happened in Chapter 2 – first in Season 7 and the second in the Grand Royal speciality event, when he played alongside Bugha and Mero.

Bigger Plans

With a roster featuring proven talent and an up-and-coming youngster, Dignitas assembled a formidable team set to make a splash in the Fortnite scene.

Dignitas formed its first Fortnite team just weeks before the first Fortnite LAN events are expected to return. Although not many expected Dignitas to expand its presence in this esports title, the North American esports organization seems to have taken the task seriously.

Not only has Dignitas acquired one of the best players in the team, but it also acquired coach Fifty. He helped with the formation of the roster and has recently stated that the signing of the trio is just the beginning, teasing that Dignitas has much grander plans for its Fortnite division.
