Dead Space Live Stream Scheduled for This Week

The nightmare continues.
by Natalie Collazo on May 09, 2022

We reported earlier this year that EA's studio, Motive, was going to be developing a remake of the first Dead Space game with an all-new physics engine and sound design. We haven't heard much information about it since its initial reveal but now it looks like a live stream directed specifically at the game will be showing on May 12. The stream, titled Crafting the Tension, will "offer a deep dive into various aspects of the upcoming game's art design." You can watch the stream on the official Dead Space YouTube channel as well as Motive's Twitch channel at 6pm BST or 7pm CET.

The team at Motive plans on showing off early footage of the game that is being developed using the Frostbite engine for a 2023 release. There's a lot to be excited about considering the environments, lighting techniques, and more that will need to be replicated and then upgraded for modern audiences. Fortunately, the developer has been doing a great job at keeping fans updated throughout the development so we're excited to see what could be shown during the live stream.

Check back with DailyGamer for more news as more information comes out about EA Motive's Dead Space remake.
