New Silent Hill Game Leaked, Konami Takes Down Images

Does that mean the images were legit?

New Silent Hill Game Allegedly Leaks Screenshots - SegmentNext

In a quick turn of events, longtime video game leaker Dusk Golem revealed what looked to be legitimate images of an upcoming Silent Hill game being developed. The images show incredibly detailed images of an in-game character and several environments that hint at the game's premise. Shortly after these images were leaked, Konami itself took action and took down the images due to copyright infringement. Before this happened, however, Dusk Golem continues the thread by explaining that while many people will choose not to believe the content, he knows it to be true because of "private proof." The same Tweet also explains that this project isn't the only Silent Hill game in development.

Dusk Golem has been correct about previous game leaks including Resident Evil Village information that pointed at the game having been originally developed with mermaids in mind. Besides Konami removing the images, they haven't said anything in response to the image leaks through the developer did renew the Silent Hill trademark this past March.

We haven't heard much about a Silent Hill title since the ill-fated Hideo Kojima and Guillermo Del Toro collaboration and the 2012 Silent Hill: Downpour. The former never ended up forming to fruition due to differences among everyone involved and the latter was ill-received, resulting in the series undergoing an indefinite hiatus. Unfortunately, it looks like we will need to wait for any further announcements from the developer.

Check back with DailyGamer for more news and information about this Silent Hill game as it gets announced.
