Dead by Daylight Reveals New Chapter and Dating Sim

2022 is PACKED with horror goodies.
by Natalie Collazo on May 17, 2022

Behaviour Interactive has showcased a live stream earlier today that detailed a host of new announcements for their critically acclaimed multiplayer horror game, Dead by Daylight. The studio discussed that over the course of the next year, they plan on releasing four new chapters for the game that will each include a new Killer and Survivor for players to use. The first of these new chapters is titled Roots of Dread and will include a new Killer called the Dredge and a new Survivor named Haddie Kaur. The former is a terrible-looking, stitched-together scarecrow who has the ability to teleport across the map and into lockers. This means that these lockers are no longer considered a safe place to hide for Survivors. The enemy can also plunge Survivors into darkness, making the experience that much more terrifying. The Survivor, Haddie, has shown up before in other Archive events though this is her first time debuting as a playable character.

The second chapter that was announced will be themed after Resident Evil and will be available later this year, though no information about the Killer or Survivor was revealed. Of course, considering that they've already released a pack that included characters from Resident Evil, there are already many speculations as to who will be involved next (PLEASE LET IT BE LADY DIMITRESCU). Lastly, a crossover with Attack of Titan surprised fans and will include new outfits for Survivors and Killers to don. The launch date for this DLC was not revealed though it is expected to be released later this year.

While that might have been it for additions to the base game of Dead by Daylight, that wasn't everything for the franchise. The live stream also discussed the release of a dating simulator titled Hooked On You by the developer Psyop, the same developer for I Love You, Colonel Sanders. There wasn't much information about the contents of the fame besides being able to interact with characters like Trapper, Huntress, and Wraith.

The notoriously thirsty fanbase for Dead By Daylight has proven to have no remorse for the things that they find attractive and now Behaviour Interactive is taking advantage of that. It will be available on PC later this summer via Steam and will let players explore the softer side of their favorite Killers while enjoying a tropical beach vacation. No big deal.
