Nicoodoz And RoeJ Join Fnatic

Fnatic add two new faces
by Tit Krajnik on June 03, 2022

Fnatic have announced the signing of two former Copenhagen Flames players, Nico "nicoodoz" Tamjidi and Fredrik "roeJ" Jørgensen, as a part of the most recent roster rebuild. With the arrival of the Danish duo, Fnatic now lacks only one more player to finalize its Counter-Strike: Global Offensive roster.

Following multiple failed attempts to build a competitive roster, the London-based esports organization opted to sign nicoodoz and roeJ, who joined the Black & Orange CS:GO lineup on June 6. The Danish duo will team up with Freddy "KRIMZ" Johansson and William "mezii" Merriman as the only remaining players following the departure of Alex "ALEX" McMeekin and Valentin "poizon" Vasilev.

The addition of Nicoodz and roeJ marks the third big roster change Fnatic has made this year alone, and the next step of the team rebuilding process began with the departure of Owen "smooya" Butterfield and Ludvig "Brollan" Brolin, who joined Ninjas in Pyjamas in March.

Although drastic and somewhat unexpected changes, Fnatic seemed to have gotten its hands on two highly talented players who are expected to help Black & Orange reach its former glory.

Nicoodz joins Fnatic as one of the top Danish CS:GO players and one of the highest-rated AWPers in the scene. Since joining Copenhagen Flames, the 21-year-old has been a standout player for the team, averaging a 1.20 rating against top-20 opposition in 2022.

RoeJ, while less impressive with his average rating (1.04), joins Fnatic as a highly experienced player, having started his professional career in 2017. Before joining Copenhagen Flames, roeJ competed with MAD Lions, where he hasn't achieved much, but he found immense success under the Danish banner.

Most notably, roeJ and nicoodoz helped Copenhagen Flames finish top-11 at the PGL Stockholm Major in November and have recently made top-eight at the PGL Major Antwerp. This, along with the team's success in other tournaments, saw CPH Flames break inside the top-10 on the global CS:GO ladder.

With the addition of roeJ and nicoodoz, Fnatic now field a four-man lineup, just one player short of completing the team. It's currently unclear which player will fill the final vacant spot; however, with Fnatic's next competitive endeavour fast approaching, we should get more information on that in the coming days.

Fnatic will debut its new-look roster at the Pinnacle Cup Championship 2022, which kicks off on June 8.
