Bren Esports Re-Enter Wild Rift With A New Roster

Bren Esports is back to Wild Rift
by Tit Krajnik on June 14, 2022

Bren Esports announced its return to the Wild Rift competitive scene on Tuesday, June 14. The Filipino esports organization revealed its new roster, featuring former Liyab Esports and Sunsparks players.

Bren Esports made its first appearance in the Wild Rift competitive scene in March 2021 at SEA Icon Series 2021: Preseason – Philippines, but unfortunately, the team failed to make much noise. Bren Esports crashed out of the tournament in the first round, where they lost against the eventual finalists, Sunsparks (0-3) and ended the event in fifth-eighth place.

However, despite Bren Esports' lacklustre start to their journey in Wild Rift, the Filipino squad found some traction in August when they placed second in the PPGL 2021 Fall Split: Group A.

By reaching the PPGL 2021 Fall Split: Playoffs, Bren Esports set themselves up to reach new heights and qualify for the $200,000 SEA Championship 2021; however, things did not go as planned as the team crashed out of the Philippines Pro Gaming League 2021 Fall in last place.

Shortly after, Bren Esports dropped its entire roster and revealed the organization's exit from Wild Rift. It's been eight months since then; however, it would seem that the esports organization is ready to return to the scene by acquiring one of the strongest lineups in the region.

As revealed by Bren Esports on Tuesday, the Filipino esports organization got its hands on a new five-man squad featuring veteran Wild Rift pro players, including Miguel "Miggie" Banaag, Edrian "DoeDoii" Brancia, Nasjo, and Haze.

Haze and Konsi are returning players to Bren Esports, who have, since their departure from the team, spent competing with Sunsparks. Their former teammate Nasjo brings his already established synergy with the mid and dragon lane players and a plethora of experience, having placed for various teams, including UCFC Esports and VVV Esports.

DoeDoii joins Bram Esports as a former League of Legends pro player and a former teammate of Miggie, who he played with at Liyab Esports.

With a new roster, Bren Esports hope they can qualify for the next Wild Rift Championship. Still, considering the talent Bren managed to acquire, achieving the organization's ultimate goal now seems closer than ever.
