It had been announced during Capcom's showcase a couple of days ago that new content was going to be announced for their IP, Dragon's Dogma, on June 16. The date marks the ten-year anniversary of the franchise that started with Dragon's Dogma that later turned into a beloved Netflix show. The announcement didn't allude to anything but die-hard fans hoped and prayed that it would be Dragon's Dogma 2. Now that the day is finally here, was can conclude that the announcement was, in fact, Dragon's Dogma 2. The initial anniversary image that the official Dragon's Dogma Twitter had posted was reposted today as a gif. The gif then transforms into the new title, though it is uncertain if this is the official title.

The tweet includes a link that takes you to a video of game director Hideaki Itsuno. He explains what it took to get the first game off the ground and what the development team experienced as they were developing the game. The video then ends again with the new game's logo. He also explains that the new title will be using Capcom's RE Engine, the same one that powered Capcom's infamous Resident Evil: Village. Hopefully, we will see more in respect to gameplay or a release window in the near future but it's very possible that the fame is still in very early development.
