The pre-alpha version of the snag 4 is expected to be leaked online - Game News 24

EA's infamous skateboarding game, skate., has been the pinnacle of skating games since its inception. Riding off of the high of what made Tony Hawk Pro Skater games so popular, skate. defines itself on top of the actual skill that it takes to professionally skateboard. The first three games focused on the moves to achieve certain tricks as well as the physics of falling and hurting yourself without actually doing so. The latest iteration of the game, simply titled skate., has been in the works for quite some time now and fans have been eagerly awaiting any new information. Now, a pre-pre-pre-alpha video has been unveiled and it looks to be one of the most interesting experiences that players will have with the franchise. Alongside this announcement came the reveal that EA will be allowing players to be a playtester for the game.

We told you we’re back, and we’re still working on it - but it’s time for you to see what we’ve been up to. It’s still early, but we want to get this right and that means we want you to be a part of it.

As a skate. insider, you have the chance to play early versions of the game and provide feedback throughout our development journey. We need to scale access to skate. gradually as development progresses to ensure a smooth experience, and that means we can’t guarantee how soon you’ll get to play.

To find out more about the skate. insider program and playtesting head over to our FAQ here.

The skate. insider playtests will be CLOSED playtests for anyone selected to participate. Sharing any videos, captures, screenshots or streaming of anything in the game is prohibited. Please make sure to read the full terms and conditions before signing up.

This playtest is currently only available for PC players though there's no telling whether or not that will change in the future. Players will have the chance to perform the stunts featured in the video alongside new locations and other features that will be available during the playtest. This will most likely allow for some very valuable feedback from diehard fans who genuinely want the game to be as successful as possible.
