Nemiga Reveals New CS:GO Lineup

Nemiga is back in action
by Tit Krajnik on August 06, 2022

A prominent Belorussian esports organization Neimga announced a new Counter-Strike: Global Offensive roster on Saturday, August 6. The new lineup will feature a few returning names who will team up with young and unproven talent.

By revealing a new lineup, Nemiga confirmed its return to the CS:GO scene just a month after the organization benched its entire squad. Nemiga decided to cut its entire lineup on July 7, following the team's lackluster performances, namely in the ESEA Advanced Season 41 Europe and various qualifiers over the year.

Although Nemiga was quick to re-enter the scene, its new lineup will look slightly different than its previous iteration. As it stands now, Artem "Chill" Mankevich and Anton "boX" Burko will not be returning to play under Nigma's banner and will be replaced by Stanislav "fostar" Ostashevskiy and Aliaksandr "1eeR" Nahorny.

The Belorussian core came together in 2022 with plans to break into the top 30 on the global rankings but hovered around 39th before slipping down the ladder following a streak of shaky performances. Lack of success across numerous tournaments and qualifiers saw Nigma drop more than 50 spots, which led the organization to cut ties with its entire lineup.

But after a month of rebuilding the roster, Nigma is set to make a comeback with a new and promising lineup.

Rassim "Jyo" Valijev, Artyom "iDISBALANCE" Egorov, and Andrey "BELCHONOKK" Yasinskiy have all returned and will join foster and 1eeR as the latest additions. However, fostar and 1eeR are not new to the squad, both having played for the organization in 2021-2022.

Since leaving Nemiga in January 2022, 1eeR has spent four months competing with PLATOON Alpha, who he played his last official match for in July. Fostar, on the other side, has spent four months with 1WIN and was last seen competing with Cossacks, where he played alongside Ioann "Edward" Sukhariev and Vladyslav "bondik" Nechyporchuk.

The new-look lineup will debut at ESEA Season 42: Advanced Division – Europe on Monday and is also set to appear in the upcoming qualifiers for the IEM Rio Regional Major Ranking event.
