Sony Reveals Launch Window for PlayStation VR2

Get ready for 2023!
by Natalie Collazo on August 24, 2022

Updated via an Instagram post from the official PlayStation account, a new teaser for the PlayStation VR2 shows a release window of 2023. This latest version of the console-based headset revolutionizes the playing field with 4K visuals and all-new controllers. The controllers are rounder, similar to the Oculus Quest's, and offer more comfortability around the hands when making movements and gestures. Players can expect up to 120FPS as well as dual 2000x2040 OLED screens to provide four times the resolution of the previous interaction of the peripherals.

Its sleek design also shows off the outside cameras that are used to better detect head movements as well as allow players to see outside of the headset while they are wearing it. Upon launch, several games will be made available to play on the headset including Resident Evil Village, The Walking Dead: Saints and Sinners Retribution, and even No Man's Sky. Hopefully, we will get to see more information as time passes by for the rest of this year.
