Assassin’s Creed Mirage Officially Announced After Previous Leak

The full reveal will be shared on September 10
by Carter Barnes on September 01, 2022

Ubisoft has officially announced the long-awaited next entry in the Assassin’s Creed franchise, after two years since the last one.

Assassin’s Creed Mirage has been revealed in a post today, with only a singular photo of the protagonist, alongside a future planned deep dive into the game on September 10.

The news of this new game was leaked days prior to the official announcement, detailing aspects of the upcoming title, such as the setting, character name, and release window. Players will be taken back to 9th century Baghdad while playing as Basim, a young thief who will eventually join the Hidden Ones as an assassin.

Further information within the leak talked about how the gameplay will “return to basics”, getting rid of newer Assassin’s Creed features, such as leveling and dialogue choices. The leak also states that Ubisoft will announce an Assassin’s Creed 1 remake alongside Mirage during the Ubisoft Forward event on September 10, using assets from the new game to rebuild Altair’s story.

With the possibility of a Spring 2023 release, we’ll just have to wait and see what Ubisoft has in store later this month.
