Pokémon Scarlet and Violet Nintendo Switch OLED Announced

The themed Switch will release two weeks before the game
by Carter Barnes on September 07, 2022

Nintendo is expanding on their themed Switch options with the newly announced Pokémon Scarlet and Violet OLED Switch. The new Pokémon Switch console will release on November 4, two weeks before the game’s release date.

The special edition switch will go for $359.99, costing slightly more than the normal OLED Switch and $60 more than the normal Switch. It should be noted that the special Switch does not come with the game as well.

The dock features the game’s two main legendary Pokémon, Koraidon and Miraidon, donning their game’s color respectively. The Joy-Cons also sport the game’s two titular colors, with the in-game academy emblems on each one. On the back of the actual Switch is the game’s three new starter Pokémon, Quaxly, Fuecoco, and Sprigatito, alongside an assortment of icons featured throughout the series.

This newly announced Switch comes after the recent Switch family addition of the Splatoon 3 themed switch that launched a couple weeks ago. Unlike that Switch, the Pokémon Scarlet and Violet OLED Switch is not yet available to purchase.
