FaZe Clan Make Changes To Its Halo Roster

FaZe Clan replace part ways with Snip3down
by Tit Krajnik on September 10, 2022

FaZe Clan announced big changes to its Halo Infinite roster on Friday, September 9, unveiling the departure of Eric "Snip3down" Wrona and the signing of Nick "KingNick" Panzella. The moves come a month following FaZe's shaky performance at HCS North American Super.

The unexpected roster moves see one of the all-time greatest players in Snip3down leave FaZe to join a rival team in eUnited ahead of the final two HCS events of 2022. But despite his departure, FaZe did not hesitate to find a suitable replacement in former Pioneers player KingNick.

The moves see Snip3down filling a vacant spot on the eUnited roster, left behind by Emmanuel "Manny" Lombert, who was released from eUnited earlier that day after spending two months with the team. Interestingly, Manny was added to the eUnited roster from Kansas City Pioneers and initially joined the team as a replacement for KingNick, who left the team in July.

FaZe Clan's addition of KingNick is just another major roster move the North American Halo esports team has made over the last couple of months, following two big acquisitions of Tyler "Spartan" Ganza and Jonathan "Renegade" Willette in July, forming a new superteam.

But despite fielding one of the most stacked rosters in the scene, FaZe Clan failed to achieve much in Halo Championship Series 2022: North America Super. They barely made it out of the group stage, only to crash out of the event in seventh-eight place following a 1-3 loss to eUnited.

Whether letting go of Snip3down was the right move for FaZe Clan remains to be seen, but we can say for certain that the organization has parted ways with one of the greatest Halo players of all time. Still, we won't have to wait long to see whether FaZe's roster changes will bear any fruit.

FaZe and eUnited will debut their new-look rosters in just under two weeks at HCS Major Orlando 2022, slated to kick off on Friday, September 23. It will mark the third major open LAN of the 2022 HCS season and the final tournament of Split 2.
