A Remake of Resident Evil: Code Veronica Could Be Coming

They already made several remakes... so, why stop there?

This is what a spectacular fan remake of Resident Evil Code Veronica looks like - PlanetSmarts

In the realm of video games, everything is possible. Fans of the Resident Evil series can continue to rejoice in the idea that Resident Evil 4 producer Yoshiaki Hirabayashi would be more than happy to create a remake of the critically-acclaimed Code Veronica if the "opportunity comes." Realistically, Capcom is no stranger to making remakes for the Resident Evil games. In fact, Resident Evil 4 is the most recent game to receive the remake treatment after both Resident Evil 2 and 3. While I would agree that Code Veronica is not as popular as the mainline titles, I do see the remake being announced sometime in the future.

Plenty of fanmade versions have been created with one even scheduled to release later this year, so it's no secret that it's wanted by some within the fanbase. This version will be similar to the remakes of Resident Evil 2 and 3 in which upgraded visuals and a third-person camera are the primary changes. Hopefully, this unofficial version of Code Veronica will motivate the developers to create an official one that lines up with the new Resident Evil games but for now, only time will tell. Currently, Resident Evil 4's remake is the primary focus and honestly, one of the most important. This title is essentially what Final Fantasy VII would be to the Final Fantasy series. Although there hasn't been any reason to doubt that the final product will be great, there is still always room for doubt.
