K23 Finalize CS:GO Roster With Three Players

K23 add a trio to complete its roster
by Tit Krajnik on November 25, 2022

K23 have announced on Thursday, November 24, that the team have completed their Counter-Strike: Global Offensive roster with three new players. As revealed, K23 acquired Artem "iDISBALANCE" Egorov, Rassim "Jyo" Valijev, and Sanzhar "def1zer" Talgat to bolster its CIS CS:GO division.

The roster changes follow the departure of Vladislav "FinigaN" Usov, Bogdan "xsepower" Chernikov, and Timur "clax" Sabirov, who have been let go from the roster throughout November. In-game leader FinigaN left the team at the start of the month, while xsepower and clax stepped down on Thursday, with xsepower leaving for Nemiga and clax moved to the bench.

Besides adding three new members, K23 also acquired Pavel "PASHANOJ" Legostaev, who was brought into the team as a secondary coach.

The CIS esports organization hopes that the addition of new members will help the team continue making waves in the CS:GO scene. K23 have recently shown some promise by reaching the semifinals of  CCT Central Europe Series #3 and finals of European Development Championship Season 6, losing both series against Copenhagen Flames.

Currently ranked as no.47 team in the world, K23 are far from their peak rating of 14th, which they achieved in February. Still, the roster has been steadily climbing the ranks over the last month and will likely continue to do so with iDISBALANCE, Jyo, and def1zer, who have brought K23 a combination of experience and fresh blood.

Jyo and iDISBALANCE are both highly experienced players who recently played at Nemiga. Teaming up with the seasoned players is def1zer, who has very little experience competing in the professional scene but has been gaining experience with K23, with whom he has played ten official matches throughout November. Before joining K23, def1zer played only one official match with Kazakhstan U18 in September 2022 during CYBERTOUR U18 Cup 2022.

Although K23 have only now announced the signing of the three players,  iDISBALANCE, Jyo, and def1zer have all already played some matches for their new team, during European Development Championship 6, where K23 finished second.

The trio will make their official debut on Saturday, November 26, in the first round of Winline Insight Season 2, when K23 will face off against Forward Gaming.
