New Dev Diary Released for Riot Games' Project L

New gameplay, tag teaming features, and more.
by Natalie Collazo on December 06, 2022

Project L /dev: Finding our Game | Riot Games

Riot Games revealed a developer diary regarding their upcoming fighting game with League of Legends characters, Project L. The gameplay video goes over some new gameplay mechanics as well as the new tag system. The game is set to be free-to-play upon release and has already confirmed the characters Ahri, Dahrius, Ekko, Jinx, Katarina, and Illaoi.

This developer diary is also a look into the fact that the project is still unnamed as Project L is only a working title for the time being. Executive producer Tom Cannon and game director Shaun Rivera show off many incredible mechanics which look incredibly smooth and visually beautiful. Of these moves is a tag feature that will allow players to tag in other characters that they've selected for the fight, similar to other popular fighting games. Hopefully, we will hear more about the game as time progresses. More so, we hope that more will be said or announced a The Game Awards being hosted by Geoff Keighley on December 8.
