Noibat to Lead Pokémon Go's February Community Day

How many Noibat candies do you have?
by Natalie Collazo on January 12, 2023

In exciting news for Pokémon Go players, the elusive Noibat will be featured during February's Community Day event, giving players the chance to earn enough candy to evolve the purple bat into the powerful Noivern.

The Noibat has been a difficult Pokémon to evolve for many players, as it requires 400 candy to change into Noivern, and it also has a low spawn rate. But on Sunday, February 5th, from 2-5pm local time, the Sound Wave Pokémon will appear more frequently in the wild, giving players a better chance to catch it and earn candy. Additionally, players may have the lucky chance to encounter a Shiny Noibat during the event.

Not only will players have the chance to catch more Noibats, but if they evolve Noibat into Noivern during the event or within five hours afterward, the evolved Pokémon will know the Charged Attack Boomburst.

To participate in the special research quest Abundant Noise, players will need to pay $1 or the equivalent in their region. Event bonuses will include 3x Stardust for catching Pokémon, 2x Candy catch bonus, and a 2x chance for trainers level 31 and up to receive Candy XL from catches. Lure Modules and Incense activated during the event will also last for three hours.

In addition, players will be able to make one additional special trade during the day at a reduced cost of 50% less Stardust for up to five hours after Community Day ends. After the event, players can also take on four-star Raid Battles, with more Noibats appearing at the Gym that hosted the raid for 30 minutes.

To round off the event, players will also receive a new batch of stickers themed around Noibat and the Community Day event. With all these bonuses and opportunities to catch and evolve Noibat, players are sure to be excited for next month's Community Day.
