by Tit Krajnik on January 27, 2023

BLAST announced on Friday, January 27, that the BLAST Premier: Spring Finals 2023 is headed to Washington D.C. The tournament will take place at Entertainment & Sports Arena, where eight Counter-Strike: Global Offensive teams will compete for the lion’s share of the $450,000 prize pool.

As revealed on Friday, BLAST will host its first arena Counter-Strike: Global Offensive event of 2023 in Washington D.C.’s 4,000-seater Entertainment & Sports Arena. The tournament is scheduled for June 7-11, featuring eight teams and a $450,000 prize pool.
The event will see BLAST return to North America for the first time since 2019, when the Danish esports tournament organizer hosted two Pro Series events in Miami and Los Angeles.

BLAST Spring: Finals 2023 will kick off on June 7 and run until June 11, featuring eight teams, including Team Vitality, FaZe Clan, and G2 Esports who have all earned a direct bye to the event for winning BLAST Premier: Spring Groups this week. The remaining five spots will be filled by the top three teams of the Spring Groups 2023 Play-In stage and the champions of the Spring EU Showdown and Spring AME Showdown, slated for April 12-16.

BLAST Spring: Finals will see eight teams divided into two double-elimination format (GSL) groups of four. All games will be played as best-of-three (Bo3), and the top three teams from each group will advance into the Playoffs.

Group stage winners will receive a direct semifinals bye, whereas the runners-up will advance into the quarterfinals as high seeds and the third-placed teams as lower seeds. The playoffs will be single-elimination, with all games, including the finals, played as best-of-three (Bo3).

The BLAST Premier: Spring Finals 2023 champions will take home the lion’s share of the $450,000 prize pool, 4,000 BLAST Premier points, and a ticket for BLAST World Final, slated for December 12-17, 2023.
