Sony is Pulling PlayStation Plus Collection from Stores

Players only have until May 9th to add these games to their library
by Joe Wilcock on February 06, 2023

Sony's exclusive PlayStation Plus Collection, which featured a finely curated lineup of the PS4 and PS5's greatest hits, is being removed from the store on May 9th, Sony confirmed via the PlayStation Blog. In its place, Sony has vowed to concentrate more on the monthly PlayStation Plus games and the ever-expanding Games Catalogue collection instead. After announcing February's free games, they gave mention to the removal of the PlayStation Plus collection:

"We also wanted to provide an update on the PlayStation Plus Collection that has been offered as a benefit to PlayStation Plus members on PS5 since 2020. On May 9 the PlayStation Plus Collection will no longer be offered. If you haven’t redeemed the titles in this collection yet, you can still do so until May 9, which will enable you to access those titles even after this date for as long as you remain a PlayStation Plus member.

We will continue to add to our growing PlayStation Plus library of Monthly Games and Games Catalog, so be sure to check monthly for new titles to redeem."

- Adam Michel, Director, Content Acquisition & Operations, SIE

If you have already preemptively added all of the catalogue's games to your library, don't worry you will have access to them so long as you have PlayStation Plus. For those who didn't, you still have until May 9th to add them to your library so that you may access them in the future.

It is unfortunate though that after May 9th, new coming will miss out on a plethora of PlayStation's greatest hits. It's an underrated aspect of Sony's online service where first-time PlayStation consumers have full access to the backlog of iconic experiences, but they have decreed this not to be of importance.

The PlayStation Plus catalogue is as followed:

  • Batman: Arkham Knight
  • Battlefield 1
  • Bloodborne
  • Call of Duty: Black Ops III
  • Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy
  • Days Gone
  • Detroit: Become Human
  • Fallout 4
  • Final Fantasy XV Royal Edition
  • God of War
  • Infamous Second Son
  • Monster Hunter World
  • Mortal Kombat X
  • Ratchet & Clank
  • The Last Guardian
  • The Last of Us Remastered
  • Resident Evil 7: Biohazard
  • Uncharted 4: A Thief's End
  • Until Dawn
