AGO Sign Los Kogutos CS:GO Roster

Los kogutos find a new home under AGO
by Tit Krajnik on March 01, 2023

Polish Counter-Strike: Global Offensive team AGO announced the signing of the entirety of los kogutos roster on Wednesday, March 1. With that, AGO completed the complete overhaul of its CS:GO division, which started in February, with the departure of four players.

A month after releasing most of its Counter-Strike: Global Offensive roster, AGO acquired a new lineup by acquiring the entirety of los kogutos. The deal sees Tomasz "tomiko" Uroda, Wojciech "darchevile" Kleba, Karol "Enzo" Lasota, Martin "maaryy" Nakonieczny, and Mateusz "asran" Niewiatowski join the Polish esports organization, where they'll link up with Damian "Furlan" Kislowski and Grzegorz "jedqr" Jedras as the only remaining players of AGO's previous iteration.

Los kogutos made a name for themselves in 2022 as one of the staple teams of the Polish CS:GO esports scene. The squad has consistently competed in lesser tournaments and gained recognition for their win against Astralis in IEM Road to Rio Europe open qualifiers.

The roster has never reached any notable success in bigger events but have proven its talent by winning Polish Pro League AMA Pro Season 2, Esportal Global Open, and ASUS ROG Masters EMEA. Los kogutos strong showings helped the team peak at no.65 in the global CS:GO rankings but have since dropped to no. 108 due to the team failing to produce a single deep run across six tournaments in January-February.

But regardless of los kogutos' recent slump, the young Polish squad have shown enough throughout 2022 to catch the attention of one of Poland's most prominent esports organizations, which didn't hesitate to sign maaryy and his crew under its wing. The signing also comes as great news for los kogutos, who will now compete under a professional organization, providing them the structure to grow further.

AGO are currently competing in ESEA Advanced Season 44 and will this week make an appearance at CCT West Europe Series #2: Closed Qualifier. The tournament is set to kick off on Friday, March 3, welcoming 16 CS:GO teams competing for a ticket in the main event.

AGO's signing of los kogutos comes shortly after the disbandment of two other Polish CS:GO teams, Permitta Esports and Anonymo, who released their players on Monday, February 7.
