Redfall, the upcoming action-packed first-person shooter game from developer Arkane, will support crossplay for all platforms. This means that players can team up with their friends, regardless of the platform they use, including Xbox Series X|S, PC Game Pass, Steam, and Epic Game Store. The announcement was made by the official Redfall account on Twitter, much to the delight of gamers eagerly awaiting the release of this highly anticipated title.

One of the most exciting things about this announcement is that crossplay will work seamlessly on Xbox, whether players have purchased the full game or accessed it through Xbox Game Pass. This is excellent news for those who prefer to play games through subscription services like Game Pass, as they will not be left out of the fun.

The addition of crossplay to Redfall is not entirely surprising, as we have seen the feature implemented in other Xbox games such as Halo Infinite and Forza Horizon 5. Crossplay has become a regular occurrence for first-party Xbox games, and it seems like it will be a trend that continues.

During a Q&A with the developers, Arkane also confirmed that Redfall will feature difficulty scaling. According to Redfall community manager Richard Stanford, "Depending on the size of your party, you’ll see changes in the sorts of enemies you encounter, how strong they are compared to solo, and the frequency of elite traits." This feature will make the game even more challenging for players, adding an extra layer of excitement to the gameplay.

Redfall will be released on May 2 for Xbox and PC, and players will be able to choose from four protagonists to embark on their vampire-hunting adventure in the titular town of Redfall, Massachusetts. The game will be available on Game Pass on day one, giving subscribers the chance to try out the game at no additional cost.
