Morbius Joins Marvel’s Midnight Suns

It’s Morbin time!
by Joe Wilcock on March 21, 2023

Marvel's Midnight Suns have a new guest in their midsts who will aid in the battle against Lilith and the subsequent protection of Earth. Morbius, the Living Vampire has been added to the roster today following a leak only days prior. The news was announced by the game's developers, Firaxis Games, and promises to be a sterling addition to an already varied roster.

Midnight Suns is a tactical RPG set in the darker side of the Marvel Universe. Players take control of various Marvel heroes, including Captain America, Iron Man, and Wolverine, as they team up with a new hero, the Hunter, to stop Lilith, Mother of Demons, from destroying humanity.

Morbius, whose voice actor remains illusive, will be a playable character in the game. In the comics, Morbius is a biochemist who accidentally transforms himself into a vampire after attempting to cure himself of a rare blood disease. He possesses many of the traditional vampire abilities, such as superhuman strength and speed, the ability to fly, and the ability to hypnotize and control others.

Morbius joins Deadpool in the Midnight Suns paid DLC package which is set to include Venom and Storm in future updates. It could be just what the Living Vampire needs as well considering the abysmal attempt to bring him to the big screens, making a joke of the character in the meantime. Midnight Suns is certainly a platform where he can rectify his pubic perception and make amends for the poor film. Not that it was Morbius’ fault of course.

Marvel Midnight Suns is available for PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, Nintendo Switch and PC. Have a look at the DailyGamer review where we found it to be a very decent game that ultimately fails to fulfil its potential, but maybe that’s starting to change.
