World Of Warcraft: Dragonflight Patch 10.1 Goes Live On May 2

The Embers of Neltharion confirmed to go live at the start of May
by Tit Krajnik on April 03, 2023

On Monday, April 3, Blizzard confirmed Tuesday, May 2, as the release date of the long-awaited Patch 10.1. The patch, named Embers of Neltharion, is set to bring many changes to World of Warcraft: Dragonflight, including new zones, cross-faction guilds, a new race, and more.

Changes Coming With Patch 10.1

The Embers of Neltharion will mark the first major patch to hit WoW: Dragonfligt, introducing some long-awaited changes to the game, offering players a plethora of new content to enjoy as they join their allies in exploring a new zone, discover hidden treasures, and meet new allies.

The most significant already-confirmed changes include:

  • Cross-Faction Guilds: building on the idea of cross-faction play in instances, Blizzard decided to allow players to join the same guilds as the opposite faction and benefit from the same perks, such as guild repairs and shared guild chat.
  • New Zone: Patch 10.7 already introduced a new zone, the Forbidden Reach, to WoW, but with 10.1, the world will expand even further with Zarelek Caverns - a mysterious cavern with hidden treasures and dangerous beasts.
  • New Allies: While exploring the dangerous Zarelek Caverns, players will meet local inhabitants, the molefolk known as Niffen and Drogbar, who will aid them in their journeys.
  • Fyrrak Assaults: While Fyrakk’s forces gather resources at the Suffusion Camps in the Azure Span and Ohn’ahran Plains, heroes will be tasked to disrupt their efforts and be awarded for their efforts.
