Bring Back the Joy with Pokémon Stadium Coming to Nintendo Switch Online

Now, we just need every other game in the franchise on the Switch.

Pokémon Stadium Is Coming To Nintendo Switch Next Week

Do you remember sitting in front of your TV with Nintendo's most poorly designed controller, carefully aiming an Ekans that is curled into a ring towards a Diglett for points against your friends? No? What about sitting in Clefairy's class and having to memorize dance moves lest you be smacked with a ruler? Still no?

Then you'll have the time of your life when Pokémon Stadium hits Nintendo Switch Online later this month on April 12. Considering that this is a Nintendo 64 game, you'll need to have the Expansion Pass.

When the service initially launched, it was a little difficult to justify the $24.99 USD price point. However, Nintendo Switch Online has now come to include games from the GameBoy Advance and even the Sega Genesis. This  has made it nearly impossible to resist going back and playing some of the games that have come to define what certain titles and genres have now become

If you're looking to see if this Pokémon installment will allow for trading to Pokémon HOME, then you're out of luck. Even though the latest games in the Pokemon franchise have highlighted the idea of trading everything into Pokemon HOME, you'll have to leave this title out of the mix. The real reason for this is simply that the game is far too old, and has not been optimized to allow for trading into HOME. However, you'll at least be able to enjoy a new, four-player online feature in order to play all the same mini-games you've come to know and love.

Now, all we need is for Nintendo to add Stadium's sequel as well as a remake of Gale of Darkness, and we'll be set!
