Ubisoft Announces Division 2 Splinter Cell and Resident Evil Crossover

New Resident Evil and Splinter Cell cosmetics get added to Division 2
by Tit Krajnik on April 21, 2023

During the Division Day livestream, Ubisoft revealed an upcoming Division 2 crossover with Splinter Cell and Resident Evil. The crossover offers the players to unlock various pieces of Splinter Cell apparel and Leon Kennedy look for free, starting on April 25.

On Thursday, April 20, Ubisoft hosted Division Day Livestream, where the game developer shared updates and future plans for Division 2. The updates show continuous support of the title, despite the preparation for the release of Tom Clancy's The Division Heartland – an upcoming free-to-play 3rd person shooter.

Even though Division 2 fifth year of content starts in June, the developer will start giving away costumes starting later this month as a part of the upcoming crossover. As confirmed, Division 2 will receive the Resident Evil crossover costumes for Jull Valentine, Hunk, and Leon Kennedy.

Leon Kennedy's costume will become available on April 25 as a free login reward that will last until May 9. Unfortunately, the details about the other costumes and how to obtain them have yet to be revealed.

In addition to the Resident Evil costumes, Division 2 will welcome Sam Fisher from Splinter Cell, who will enter the game as a paid cosmetic. Players will be able to obtain Sam Fisher's gear as a part of the Premium Pass in Season 1 of Year 5.

In the update, Ubisoft news team member Chris Watters also shared some details about the Year 5 roadmap, which will introduce a plethora of new content to Division 2. The Broken Wings, which will include Sam Fisher's gear, will also feature a rebuild of Castle and a new game mode called Descent.

The new rogue-like game mode will throw players into a simulated underground and ask them to fight off hordes solo or as a part of the group with a competitive leaderboard, new build rules, and unique rewards. The game mode will be added as a free update; however, most other updates coming with Year 5 will be a part of the Warlords of New York expansion.
