On Monday, April 24, Valve surprised the Counter-Strike: Global Offensive community by releasing the Anubis weapon collection. The collection dropped just a few weeks ahead of the final CS:GO Major, the BLAST.tv Paris Major, and introduced 19 new weapon skins, including for some of the most popular guns.
The Anubis Collection went live on April 24, and it features 19 weapon skins themed around the latest addition to Counter-Strike’s Active Duty Pool. With Egyptian-themed symbols, sandy decorations, and gold/grey colours, the Anubis Collection has introduced new looks for many of the game’s most popular skins.
The collection is now available for purchase for $1.99, and the best part – you don’t need a key to open it. Due to its low price and skins for popular weapons such as M4A4, AK-47, FAMAS, and M4A1-S, the Abubis Collection is a must-buy for any CS:GO fan and is a nice treat from Valve as we get ready for the BLAST.tv Paris Major.
Skins included in the Anubis Collection are:
The addition of the Anubis Collection makes a lot of sense since the Anubis map has to have its own collection for the Major, so the players can redeem Event Coins via the Viewer’s Pass for the collection if they wish to.
The Viewer Passes become available during Valve-sponsored events (Majors) and allow them to vote on which teams will advance to the next stage of the Major. By correctly predicting the teams, they earn Event Coins, which can be exchanged for collection packages.
The BLAST.tv Paris Major kicks off on May 8 and will mark the final CS:GO Major before the release of CS2 in the Summer.
