Pokémon HOME Connectivity Comes to Pokémon Scarlet and Pokémon Violet Soon

What Pokémon are you going to transfer over first?
by Natalie Collazo on May 18, 2023

Connectivity Between Pokémon HOME, Pokémon Scarlet, and Pokémon Violet Is Coming Soon

It's been a long time coming, but players who are enjoying Pokémon Scarlet and Pokémon Violet will finally be able to import Pokémon HOME Pokémon come May 23 at 6 pm PDT. Pokémon will be able to be moved from Pokémon HOME to their game with ease, so long as that particular Pokémon does actually appear in that game.

The example that was used in the blog announcing the above states that Pokémon like Dolliv cannot be moved to Pokémon Sword, Pokémon Shield, Pokémon Brilliant Diamond, Pokémon Shining Pearl, or Pokémon Arceus because it doesn't appear in either of those games. It was also explained that Pokémon being moved into Pokémon Scarlet or Pokémon Violet will have their Tera types determined by whatever their original type is.

The very first time that you transfer a Pokémon into either Scarlet or Violet, you will receive a Sprigatito, Fuecoco, and Quaxly with Hidden Abilities. They will be available as Mystery Gifts within the app version of Pokémon HOME for you to claim and transfer over! Roaming Form Ghimmighoul from the Pokémon GO app can also be brought into the game as mentioned in the post!

This has been an incredibly long time coming since both games' initial launch at the end of 2023. Now, almost halfway through 2023, we will finally be getting the ability to freely transfer and trade Pokémon the way it was meant to be.
