Earthquakes And Vine Growth Tease The Theme Of Fortnite’s Next Season

Hints that Fortnite Chapter 4 Season 3 will have a jungle theme grow stronger
by Tit Krajnik on May 24, 2023

Recently, Fortnite fans started noticing exciting changes to the battle royale island, including earthquakes and growing vines. Although fans are left guessing what the earthquakes and vines mean, it only further confirms that Fortnite Chapter 4 Season 3 will be a jungle-themed season.

Fortnite Chapter 4 Season 2 is set to end on June 9, meaning we’re getting close to the next season of the battle royale game, which will have to introduce something spectacular to top the current cyberpunk-themed season. Although we don’t know what the next season will be about, recent developments have hinted it could be a jungle-themed season.

Many Fortnite players have recently shared that they’ve experienced earthquakes at specific locations on the map, which created cracks in the group from which vines started to grow. This was never seen in the game before, but as unusual as it may seem, there is a good chance that the vines are one of many hints at the next season’s theme.

Over the last few weeks, other leaks have surfaced, hinting that Fortnite will welcome a jungle biome with season 3. At the same time, dataminers also discovered a new mud texture and the return of raptors as ridable mounts. But perhaps the most significant leak about Chapter 4 Season 3 was the leaked picture of a new battle bus with vine-like fissures and green plants in the background.

One of the leaks about the upcoming season also unveiled that Epic Games added a new feature in the game, where the drivability of vehicles will change if the player drives on the road or over mud, which, combined with the found mud texture, all but confirms that Chapter 4 Season 3 will have muddy surfaces – which are none in the game currently.

And this goes hand-in-hand with Fortnite’s decision to re-introduce the dirt bike, which was re-added to the game at the start of April.

Whether the next Fortnite season will have a jungle biome with vines and dirt is not officially confirmed. Still, considering all the hints and information shared by various prominent and reliable leakers, it’s more than fair to expect Chapter 4 Season 3 to be a jungle-themed season.

Fortnite Chapter 4 Season 3 is set to release on Friday, June 9, just over two weeks from now, after Chapter 4 Season 2 officially ends.
