Diablo 4 Players Find New Evidence About The Secret Cow Level

New information suggests that a Cow Level might actually exist

Just over a week following a tease that it might exist, Diablo 4 players have yet to give up on the search for the secret Cow Level. And while it has yet to be found, there was an intriguing new development which might hint that a Cow Level already exists.

 

Diablo 4 players have their hands full exploring the new world fighting endless hordes of demons, or trying to complete the ultimate challenge of reaching level 100 on a hardcore character. But then there is a group of players who are spending their time trying to track down the game’s secret Cow Level.

The Cow Level has existed in various Blizzard games, including Diablo 2, and many believe that it also exists in Diablo 4. Although it has yet to be found, nor have players found any concrete evidence that it actually exists, there was an intriguing new development recently.

Instead of turning every stone in the game, some Diablo 4 players dug into Diablo 4’s game files and found a cellar in Scosglen named Forlorn Hovel. The cellar was allegedly found in multiple map tools during the beta but was never accessible to the players. But what does it have to do with a Cow Level?

Interestingly, the cellar would’ve been located in an area of the map which is shaped like a cow’s head. This might be an excellent case of confirmation bias, but Highland Wilds indeed looks like a cow’s head – so perhaps that’s a hint that a Cow Level is located in the area.

And on top of that, the location where Forlorn Hovel should be located is surrounded by cows, so it seems like too big of a coincidence not to be a hint at the secret Cow Level. Perhaps Blizzard is having too much fun teasing the Cow Level, or maybe it’s one big accident.

Whether the recent findings are accurate remains to be seen since the Forlorn Hovel isn’t in the game yet; however, with many updates scheduled to release in the coming months, we might not have to wait too long to get the final answer. Yet perhaps it’s better if Blizzard adds another twist to the Cow Level hunt and keeps the players guessing whether it exists or not.
