New South Park Game Announced For 2024

The third installment of South Park game is set to release in 2024
by Tit Krajnik on August 11, 2023

THQ Nordic has announced a new South Park game, South Park: Snow Day. The upcoming release was unveiled during a live stream event on Friday, August 11, when the developer described it as a 3D co-op adventure in the snowy streets of South Park.

South Park: Snow Day was announced on Friday during THQ Nordic Showcase as a new adventure game featuring everyone's favorite quarter of Cartman, Stan, Kenny, and Kyle. Unlike the previous creations in The Stick of Truth and The Fractured but Whole, South Park: Snow Day is a co-op title where four players can embark on a quest to save the world.

The series' third installment will also introduce 3D graphic designs instead of 2.5D from the previous games, promising a more immersive and modern gaming experience. Still, like its predecessors, South Park: Snow Day will be set in the city of South Park, where the players will have to navigate the streets and battle various enemies.

Not much else is known about South Park: Snow Day, with the short reveal trailer not giving us much more information outside of the general premise of the game – Cartman, Stan, Kenny, and Kyle going on an adventure on a school-free snow day.

South Park: Snow Day was already teased by THQ Nordic during their 2022 event when the publisher flashed the South Park Digital Studios logo on the screen, followed by Randy Marsh exclaiming, "it's coming."

For the upcoming game release, South Park Digital once again switched up the developer and partnered with Question Games, which previously developed The Blackout Club and The Magic Circle.

As confirmed, South Park: Snow Day is set to release in 2024 for PlayStation 5, Xbox X/S, Nintendo Switch, and PC.
