Players Can Enjoy About 100 Hours of Content in Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth

What more could you want from Final Fantasy?
by Natalie Collazo on September 16, 2023

During last night's State of Play, it was revealed that Final Fantasy VII Rebirth would have somewhere around 100 hours of content for players to pore over. Well, it was actually announced via a tweet that included statements from those who are behind the game including creative director Tetsuya Nomura, producer Yoshinori Kitase, and director Hamaguchi.

The tweet thread detailed several things about the game including the release date of February 29, 2024 and the fact that there will be about 100 hours of content. There is so much to explore, as the statement reads, that it will be embracing a concept known as "free exploration" as a result. Hamaguchi also confirmed elsewhere on the PlayStation Blog that the amount of side stories and content within the game is double that of the main story. More intricate details about the Tweets are as follows.

Unfortunately, players who played the first game, Final Fantasy VII Remake will be unable to port their save data to Rebirth, though there will be rewarded summon material once the save has been acknowledged.

Final Fantasy VII Rebirth is set to release on February 29, 2024 for the PlayStation 5.
