Devs Decrease CoD Warzone Massive Resurgence Player Count

“It felt a bit too chaotic”
by Tit Krajnik on October 19, 2023

On Thursday, October 19, Call of Duty devs explained why the count for Warzone Massive Resurgence decreased from 150 to 100. The decision was made to alleviate the chaos of having 150 players running around the map, which devs and the players agreed was too much.

Starting on Wednesday, the Warzone Massive Resurgence player count has been reduced from 150 to 100; after the devs and the players realized having 150 players on the same map, completing The Haunting objectives became too chaotic.

Some of the players weren’t too happy with the change; however, CoD devs explained the reasoning behind it, and the majority of the player base seemed to agree – having 150 players try to complete The Haunting objectives on the same map made it difficult to experience everything the Halloween event has to offer.

The Haunting offers many exciting objectives for players to complete, including fighting various bosses around Al Mazrah, including a giant UFO, The Butcher from Diablo, Swap Creatures, and Pharaoh.

“We received feedback that, with all of The Haunting activities in the mix, Massive Resurgence felt a bit too chaotic,”

“To alleviate this, we temporarily reduced the Player count from 150 to 100. This lower player count retains the welcome excitement of Massive Resurgence but provides a bit more breathing room for players to experience all The Haunting has to offer.”

The reduced player count in Massive Resurgence will only remain active throughout The Haunting event and will return to 150 once the event ends.
