Capcom Has An Unannounced Game To Release In 2024

A “major” unannounced game will be released before March 2024
by Tit Krajnik on October 29, 2023

According to Capcom’s recent investor report, the published/developer has a major unannounced game ready to release by March 2024. The company has not shared any details about the title; however, it is said to be available on console.

A post on Reddit revealed Capcom’s recent financial report, which makes two mentions of an unannounced, mysterious title whose release estimates to help Capcom set its goal of selling 45 million copies on consoles. The lofty goal suggests that Capcom has a major title ready to release; however, it’s interesting to learn that the company has yet to make any mentions of it and what it could be.

Naturally, the news caused quite a fluffer among the Capcom fans, who started speculating what the unannounced title might be. But there are no leaks or other information that could hint at an answer.

However, considering the success of Monster Hunter and Resident Evil, it is possible that the next major release will be a sequel to either of the two titles. And since the rumors of a new Monster Hunter game have been going around for a while, this is entirely believable, especially considering Capcom teased the next Monster Hunter game for the game’s 20th anniversary last month.

The post also shared interesting information about how Capcom doesn’t attribute its continued growth to Valve’s Steam Deck, stating that Steam Deck sale figures have remained limited and that it didn’t have much of an influence.

Capcom is close to achieving its 11th consecutive year of income growth and plans to keep the numbers strong. Much of the company’s success can be attributed to strong sales numbers of Street Fighter 6, which sold nearly 2.5 million units since its launch in June 2023, while The Resident Evil 4 remake sold an additional 1.66 million copies in the first half of the fiscal year.
