Fortnite Announces New Rocket Racing Game

Psyonix partners with Fortnite to launch first ever racing game
by Tit Krajnik on December 03, 2023

On Saturday, December 2, Fortnite released the first official trailer of its upcoming racing game. Named Rocket Racing and developed by Rocket League developer Psyonix, it's set to enter Fortnite on December 8, 2023.

The long-awaited announcement of Rocket Racing finally dropped on Saturday via a Tweet:

The Latest Leaks on Rocket Racing

While the game is set to release in less than a week, Fortnite has not revealed many details about it. The trailer itself was nothing more than a confirmation that the game would debut shortly — it didn't unveil any gameplay hints. But, nonethess, as with all new game releases, even Rocket Racing couldn't avoid leaks.

Last month, several Rocket Racing leaks became available online, offering anticipating gamers a quick glimpse of how the game will (supposedly) look. And while all leaks should be taken with a grain of salt, Rocket Racing information was provided by a prominent Fortnite leaker well-known for supplying accurate data.

According to him, Rocket Racing will introduce cosmetics for the cars, a global leaderboard, custom lobbies, AI drivers, map voting, and driver reactions. Despite revealing little, if correct, Rocket Racing sounds like a promising project.

For more information, Epic Games may share actual official information regarding Rocket Racing at The Game Awards, taking place on December 7, 2023.
